Burl Boxes

This is nature's work at its best! The majority of the burl boxes I make are from black cherry burls
that have been harvested locally in this general area, although I also use maple, hornbeam, oak, and just about any other type of burl
I can get my mitts on! The dramatic grain and live edges often determine the size and shape of each box, making every one of them totally unique.
I'm constantly expanding the list of boxes that have special purposes, including stamp dispensors,
business card holders (both lidded and display versions), toothpick and matchstick boxes.

If you're not sure what will work for you, give me the minimum dimensions you need and I'll see if I have an accomodating box.
Prices range from $10 for the smallest (big enough for a ring or pair of simple earrings) to around $100 for the largest (approx. 5" x 5" x 12").
The nature of the burl wood I use is such that due to the irregular grain, voids, and seasonal wood movement, larger boxes are not practical.
